Alfredo is very professional, but has a warm charm that make you feel as though he is a close friend. He has close connections with very unique producers in the valley which also makes each experience quite special. As mentioned elsewhere, Alfredo's van is immaculate and he is a very good driver ~ better than most. My wife and I travelled with our daughter and her husband. We all enjoyed the time spent with Alfredo and appreciated his insights to the country, the region, and the people in the valley.”

“Treating my family from Hong Kong to this private wine tour in Douro Valley was the highlight of our trip (or any vacation for that matter). Alfredo was extremely knowledgeable and accommodating, always making sure that we were enjoying ourselves and that we were happy with the pace of the tour. The selection of vineyards was perfect for a day trip. Each stop offered a unique experience. We were able to meet passionate small estate owners and sample vintage port from superb years all in one day! The outdoor wine tasting with picturesque views of the vineyard and mountains was a real treat. Alfredo really pulls out all the stops and spares no expenses to ensure that this tour is of outstanding quality. The lunch at Quinta Da Pacheca was exquisite (the sea bass and port wine cake were some of the best dishes we had in Porto). This was, without a doubt, the most flawlessly executed tour out there. We were able to soak in magnificent views, learn and sample the best wine Douro has to offer, and enjoy a gourmet 3 course meal. Alfredo really goes above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. Extremely glad we chose this tour!”

“A beautiful day in the Douro Valley we will never forget Alfredo from the beginning was patient responsive, respectful and full of ideas on how to structure a day as we had a condensed timeframe of only 8 to make our ship’s departure. We started as 6-7 but in the end had 15 people after other friends found out what we were doing while in Porto. He picked us right up at our ship and we began our journey to the beautiful Douro Valley in a smaller comfortable bus. We started at a smaller newer winery venture of Vieira de Sousa and wow everyone was surprised by how good their whites were and LOVED their ports and I have a case enroute to my home in the US as well as do others! We were alone in their gorgeous tasting room over a hundred years old and perfectly refurbished . Two amazing sisters started this beautiful winery and the day was off to a great start. Next we went to the stunning property of Quinta de Pacheca which is just an amazing larger property with large wine barrel rooms you can stay overnight in, yes that’s right. Here we were escorted to a private dining room and started with a tasting followed by a phenomenal lunch with more wine pairings!! The hosts were amazing! Let’s just say we bought multiple cases in our group here. We also picked up a few bottles for our next private boat ride on the Douro River- it was breathtaking! This was stated by many in our group to be the best excursion of our 10-day cruise and memories we will cherish for a lifetime!
