Then we met Alfredo for our private tour tasting and lunch, and had the best day ever. Alfredo used what little he knew about us to kicked off our day with the perfect small batch wine marler, Luis. Then as he learned more about us, he tailored the rest of the day to mirror our passion for discovering the Douro Valley. In addition, Alfredo is an excellent driver. Those winding, hilly roads are not easy to navigate and he expertly managed them in a downpour. “Hands down the highlight of our trip to Portugal and the best option to explore the Duoro Valley! I can not stress this enough, if you are debating booking this please do yourself a favor and reserve as soon as possible. Alfredo picked us up from our Airbnb and proceeded to give us the highlight of our trip! On the way to the Duoro Valley, he explained to us so much about the area, the wines and culture of the valley. We stopped at 3 different wineries that gave us a variety of all that that Duoro has to offer, and had one of the best meals we ate during our trip. Alfredo also worked behind the scenes with me to plan a surprise proposal to my now fiancé at our last stop. He helped to make it absolutely perfect and we made memories that we will share for a lifetime. “Highly recommend wine testing tour Alfredo is a knowledgeable and thoughtful tour guide. We are a beginner in wine but he was very nice and patient and shared a lot of interesting facts about wine with us. We visited three different wineries and each has its own characteristics. I can not decide which one is my favorite because all of them are wonderful. We have our lunch in one of the wineries. The food was awesome and the restaurant had a great view. At the end of our trip, we took Alfredo’s recommendation and visited a beach near downtown Porto, where we saw beautiful sunset. We really enjoyed our tour with Alfredo. Although it took some travel time to get to the Douro Valley, we felt comfortable in the clean car. Also, the itinerary Alfredo planned is excellent. If you’re interested in wine, please don’t miss this tour!”
